    And the inboard side, I am not sure how to insert them so you can see them without clicking on them...

    No, I have just been using the table in the salon for the time being during the COVID crisis. With my wife also working home and my daughter out of school until May, it gets me out of their hair and allows me to focus on some work. Never going to complain about extra time on the boat, just need less video conferences especially during the German workday...

    Yep, HotStart heater and thermostat. Same on my Detroits.

    The second photo is of the thermostat. Mine is in a different spot. If you unscrew the cap you should have a double pin plug inside. Try cleaning the pins and receptacles? Make sure the system isn't energized when you do that. Did you test continuity on the heating element and the thermostat? Does the system throw the panel breaker when you try to engage the heater? Are the engine breakers in the ER in the "on" position? Sometimes during winterizing they can be shut off inadvertently by moving around the engine space.
