Just got a press release stating the show will return May 14-17, 2020. I've never lived thru a pandemic, but I would venture to say this is about as irresponsible an act as any company has ever made.

That seems awfully optimistic... LeMans 24h, which was traditionally scheduled for June, has been moved to September.

I agree it's a bold move, but I believe they did that to hold everyones deposit. There's a very good chance, MID April, they'll be canceling it again.

This is going to be around for a while, maybe they should combine it with FLIBS.

They're complete idiots to even think that. Perhaps they intend to hold it with no attendees, sort of like the NBA thought of playing with no fans. Only one difference, boat show doesn't have a huge tv contract, plus that plan never materialized for the NBA, thanks to Rudy Gobert.

Schools are out for the year. NBA reassessing in a month but hoping to resume prior to August 1.

You mean the third, I guess. The first and the second are much smaller.
    Nice looking vessel, anyway. Builder?

Aha, I read something upon presentation, but I couldn't associate her visually.
Your impressions? Does she live up to the name heritage?

She was a very good sea boat with a 26 knot cruise. Very high maintenance boat with varnished teak darn near everywhere. The engine room was very well done. Salon level was very roomy, but lower level felt a little cramped due to ceiling height and dark woodwork.

It's optimistic at best. But from a positive prospective, it gives us something to look forward to lol (until they reschedule again). I hope with positive thinking and everyone being vigilant we can nip this thing in the butt as quick as possible. There are many that don't have the resources for this to go on for too long. People and small businesses will suffer greatly. They have already. Lets keep doing our best as a community to bring this thing to an end

Who is holding the deposits? In escrow or ? Under what circumstances are they returnable in full? What kind of money are they holding? Is it still there --- wherever "there" is?

I recently heard from a broker that they are offering 70% cash refund or 80% credit towards another show if vendors don't intend to display in May (assuming it goes on). I guess the contract states they don't have to give any refund if it's canceled due to government actions.
