Not sure what to call this piece I am looking to replace but I am having trouble finding it and hoping someone here may have been down this path. I initially thought this piece was part of the Ongaro control levers but upon further research I see that they are part of the Rexroth control unit. This external part actually holds the internal control box in place with three bolts and has o rings and a large gasket built into the design and the levers mate up to this part. It is a nice piece and I am hoping to be able to purchase new ones as mine are flaking from salt corrosion. Everything else is in great shape. Worst case I can get them chromed again and replace gasket and o rings carefully but would prefer to buy new if possible. Thanks for any tips. First thought is Viking service center and then possibly RDI.

Just have the piece re-chromed. It appears that piece is chrome over bronze. Otherwise try a MAN dealer.

I am attaching an abstract from the Rexroth catalogue with the pages which I believe to be relevant for the exact identification of those parts.
I couldn't upload the whole catalogue due to the size restrictions of the forum, but if you are interested to check it out, just PM me a mailbox address.
Anyhow, I can't help you with possible US suppliers, sorry.

The trim ring is now offered in stainless from Rexroth. You can order through MAN dealer. Scott Marine Power has them in stock. RDI in Seattle is helping me source them. Will post pic once received. They are CNC stainless.

Since you keep your Cabo under cover I would have to guess then that the Chrome Plating couldn't stand up to all the blood and guts from your successful Tuna trips!

Ha. Thank you for the kind words. When I bought the boat a little over 3yrs ago the pitting had already started. Never an issue and behind the lever it was not easily noticeable. I was replacing helm pump and figured it was as good a time as any. Both kits are ordered and should have them in a few days. Will post part number with finished pics. I imagine there are a lot of other boats with similiar condition trim rings on the water.

Very happy with new Rexroth kits for controls. CNC solid stainless and comes with new bolts, washers, o ring, and foam gasket needed for installation. Pic of new kit and old part prior to install.
