That s my point. We have made amazing progress in cleaning the environment and curbing pollution. We don’t need to use kids to push what is turning into a very lucrative business.

What we need is the Chinese, India, Bengkadesh, Vietnam and other SH countries to do their parts and curb pollution starting with the massive amount of plastic they dump in their rivers.

Yes global warming is a scam. Sorry... it s called climate change since A well known politician and mastermind couldn’t fly in his private jet to a global warming conference because of a snow storm.

Why don’t look up historical tidal station data from NOAA... I did. It shows that over the last 125 years, ocean level rise has not only been minimal but it is linear with no acceleration.

    Inconvenient truth

Pascal, If you think old men like us started the environmental cleanup of NJ, I have a bridge for sale nearby. If you are an honest student of history you will realize that every "revolution" has been undertaken by the young.

Here is what NOAA really says:

I can't change your views, not do I care too if they are factually accurate, but don't insinuate conclusions into a serious conversation based on inaccurate analysis of the data - that's "fake news".

How many of you stay/own a marina or have bulkheaded or unprotected shorefront property . Where's the water level on your waterfront paradise going - up or down?

I think you kids are confusing an apple to an orange.

Natural climate change is raising the seas is some areas.

We have made great strides to clean up our pollution.
Shame the rest of the world has not kicked in yet.

I can insert a banana view also.

Open another thread if more needs to be discussed.

Back to funny pics and videos.

The rest of the World has seen the scientific facts and is doing something about it. There only one country on Planet Earth that has buried it's head in the sand and is in denial.

China and India now produce more solar power and cheaper than the US and many European countries produce more renewable wind and solar power than carbon based ones. Germany is 100% renewable.

Only one leader on the planet has pulled out of the Paris Agreement, signed by all countries:- Trump.

Better than almost all other countries except Bhutan. Not bad for an industrial powerhouse.

Quite a common design for light-weight wooden boats, so the transom doesn't need to be 3" thick and heavy.

The first POD drive....I've seen a couple over the years, usually in a commercial setting. Keeps the engine out of the way??

Except in the back half of the boat: Engine is IN the way.

There are designs up here with a slight after tunnel behind the engine.
Other designs include the engine installed under the helm seat (mid & for-mid ship) around 20' with a conventional rudder astern.

Jax marshes make great fishing and exploring areas. Amazing these back yard designs built to enter these shallow head waters.

I never thought about it before, it could be the first POD design. Retractable at that.
