NOW I remember it! The entire issue was a spoof. I think I've got a copy stashed somewhere. (pun intended)

Our copy sits in that special basket that lives in Mom's bathroom, next to one Southern Living, 3 Wooden Boats and Buck Algonquin catalog.

I'm fascinated by this picture. Does anyone know the story?

Maybe: Cargo ship crew in revolt: overworked, low pay, no vacation time..so the captain, in order to prevent a mutiny, promised them a day at a private island. Total relaxation, no people, no noise, no pollution. Ship arrives at such deserted island. Crew, motley as they are, said it wasn't private enough and just look at those stacks ready to spew. Captain, in an act of desperation and creativity, says: I'll move mountains for you and thus proceeeds...

Or maybe, one country to another: "Why fight over questionable territory, we'll just take what belongs to us and go on our merry way."

Wife to husband: "Honey, our yacht just isn't big enough to carry all of the things I need for cruising. I love the islands but I'm tired of all of those sea miles it takes to get from one to the other and by the way, find a way to tote along my essentials".

We've got the Gold Cup back this year in Guernsey, 2nd race in the series. Part of the course races between 2 Sark islands, just a few 100' apart (with 20 knot tides, funneling is the word. Seen $1m sinkers there). Should be fun.
