About to go live with Aviva, a review we've been planning for quite some time. What makes this review unique is not only the innovation, but one of the people behind the build. Specifically, a senior member of YF who has made significant contributions to our knowledge base. He has never asked for, nor taken credit for his many posts, but anyone that follows our forums will recognize his screen name and has certainly come to respect the immense knowledge he possesses on a variety of subjects, not limited to yachting.

This gentleman has been with us since 2005 and has made over 7,000 posts, each of them providing the kind insight that is rarely attainable. But most impressive... as a chief build engineer at a major shipyard, juggling 1000's of details every day - sometimes on multiple builds - he still finds time to log-on to YF and answer questions.

We put privacy first at YachtForums and have protected his identity for 14 years, so this is a post I never expected to make. I'm proud to call him a friend and one of the people that make YF such a great resource.

YF's... "K1W1", the project manager behind Aviva.

I will say that if anyone asked me regarding a build in that size range and an engineer to manage it, he would absolutely be my recommendation. That is, if they could get him before he goes fishing in his 14' tinnie.

Fascinating review. Until now, I hadn't seen any pictures of that interior 'tennis court.' To me, it seems like a horrible waste of valuable space, but I'm not a billionaire. I wonder how it could potentially impact its resale value. Could it be repurposed without too much work?

Good question Scott. LOTS of potential uses. A yacht with a cargo hold!

That is a good question. Fun to think of ideas. Disregarding the "too much work" for repurposing, here's a few off the top of my head: indoor swimming pool, full-size movie theater, ballroom, Board room meetings, wedding hall...

I love all of those ideas! You could also add a Jacuzzi, workout room, steam room and sauna, gaming room, library.
I am curious to hear if anyone else has any ideas?

Many of the rooms on your wish lift are already onboard, Gage.

Jeez, I've had to put up with him as a mate for almost 30 years. Nice work mate.

I did enjoy the mechanical areas pictures and comments.
Fine details in the design and installation.
    Thx

Oh, forgot. We too had a bloody great void on the 75m Leander G. Thought about fitting a micro-sub. In the end we put service parts and filters there,

Yes, only one skinny lad fitted up there. Guess who?

The Padel Ct is high enough to handle a decent sized pool and the upper level could be turned into more cabins or add LNG Kettles and run the electric bit on gas.
