    Now, just got to finish up the starboard tackle center and install additional tackle center/garbage bin underneath the mezzanine seating and the cockpit is done. I might get to that this winter.

    I remember when i cut it back in late April this year that is was ply, but looking at the pics again it looks like balsa.

    Looking good! I know my buddy's '79 had balsa cored deck. We replaced lots of rot under the fighting chair.

    I grew up on a 75 42' and the cockpit deck was just teak planking over framing. No fiberglass liner. I think that has all been replaced since the factory build. Only fiberglass on ours was the hull, bridge sides and helm station.
