How many 53's?

I believe it is the same bottom as the 50 just 3 feet longer. Same beam and draft. The house is a little bit more centered if I remember my visit aboard at a show. It had the Post fit and finish inside and was a very attractive boat. I would expect it to ride very similarly to the 50. There is at least one 53 owner on this forum who can give you first hand details. I think Post made only about 5 0r 6 of the vessels, maybe even less. I think they stopped production sometime in 2006?

So keep us posted. I'd like to know how the 53 rides.. Post are always wet in the head sea. I've often thought about some kind of a spray rail.... But can't find one that does justice to the look

I have a 2007 53 with c-18s and love the boat. I was told it was the last one built but don't know for sure. Fit and finish is top notch in my opinion and I've had almost no issues with it in the 3 years I've had it. I plan on having it many more years, as it's a great boat in my opinion.

I'm in Wilmington NC and make 60 mile trips to the stream regularly. Yes its not as dry or efficient as a Carolina boat, but as far as I'm concerned the ride is just fine.

Frankly I think the whole concept of an totally dry ride is overblown. Anytime you have winds blowing over 15 coming out of either corner in choppy head seas, there is going to be spray on most production boats. That what they make enclosures for.

I cruise at 29 to 30 kts turning 2100 rpm, and burn about 80 to 85 gph. I would be happy to answer any questions.

I usually do a quick check and like to see what today's SF are doing at 30 knots.

You typically see numbers in a range of 90 - 120 gph depending on size, rigging and power. A 30 knot cruise and under 90gph is in the better range for a SF, something to keep in mind and compare for yourself.

Pac Blue is correct, but the price would have to be huge for mine. I've owned lots of boats, but this one would be hard to replace in my mind.

I have a 2005 53' with the C-18 Cats and I love the boat. Not sure what hull number it is or how to find out.

Post usually put the production hull number in the HIN (Hull identification number)

for your boat its probably the number right after "53" in the HIN
