Lurssen has just launched a nearly completed 130m+ yacht. She had a really interesting design with lots of curves and will have a lot of volume.
Very nice design! I've been waiting for her to come out for awhile now. She will be one of the best looking yachts out there.
I am pretty sure, that we will see Project Lightning in a couple of days on her way from Berne to Aumund. We all know, that the large sheds won't be empty for a long time
A few interesting features to this one, in addition to all the curves. some of the upper bulwarks appear to be cut out and filled in with glass and the bulwarks around the forward superstructure seem to be almost full deck height. She is definitely another high volume boat though and you can really see the impact that the aft facing helicopter landing pad has on designs even this big.
OMG, That was nice. She is a beautiful ship. Question; Was that drag (stern) tug been in the shed all this time?
I've heard some rumors that this Yacht is the next Flying Fox.. don't know how true that is but it could be a possibility.
Might very well possible sine "Flying Fox" was sold recently and the managing company is overseeing the newbuild of a 130m project due to be completed next year.
I agree with most that she has Radiant looks, but am I the only one that sees a bit of Ocean Victory in her?
WOW I was thinking rail and gantry at the sheds other end. Hard to see the required clearance over the many decks and mast for the tug to get by. You have been there. I have not. This is just another marvel (yet still small page) of what it takes to build and deliver these monster yachts; Tug service, scheduling and coordination.
Wasn’t suggesting that After Thunder I’m not that impressed with the looks. Thunder raised the bar for me
Some user on a very famous car forum said some time ago (3 or 4 months probably) that he was working on a massive Lurssen project. The interior of that said project was expected to be designed by Mark Berryman, which was also the designer of Flying Fox.
