So this last hurricane season was terrible but it threw a bunch of boats nearby my house was wondering if anyone could Identify this half sunken yacht for me?
The boat in question appears to predate Horizon Cats. I'm inclined to side with SeaEric. Looks like a vintage Tecnomarine... (like 1990's is vintage!)
Tecnomarine T72 with custom (not by Tecnomarine I think) extended hull. Designed by Stefano Righini in 1992/3. Model was later updated to T78 in 1997/8 with more minor cosmetic changes then length (lightly longer bathing platform). They should have sold a total of less to ten hulls in the period for both models. Possible two or three 78s made and about five 72s. Tecnomarine closed in 1999/2000 and the yard where they where build in Viareggio was sold with the Lusben holding (same owner) to Azimut-Benetti in around 2001/2.
The T58 was very similar to the 72 but the one of the picture, see flybridge and the bow tells me that is a 72.
SO the sinken vessel is the T72, but the one in the second picture is the T58 (hard top) model. http://www.boatersresources.com/boat-for-sale/1993-TECNOMARINE-Motor-Yacht-Used-372042 You can recognized the T72 cause of the center-ship cleats. They stole everything from that yacht, railing furnitue, are the engines still there And the updated version was called T77 not 78
I think I have found the real yacht, a Tecnomarine 58; http://www.certifiedsales.com/listings/YS170166.html#photos
I used to run a 64 but the bridge windows were more wrap-around which made me think of the Horizon. I stand corrected. (Lars, do you remember Nouf in Antibes)?
