    Ford gets stuck on letters. Look at all the F's they did over the years. To the E's you can add Escape and Edge. On the F's you still have Focus, Fusion, Fiesta, and Flex. Many more through their history.

    Mainline, Maverick, Meteor. (And of course Mustang)

    There was also a bunch of P and S cars over the years as well.

    The disadvantages of living in a flat state.

    Saturday I found some trails steep enough that our husky in the back of the truck couldn't actually stand up without sliding backwards (on textured WeatherTech rubber) and was having to brace himself against the rear hatch.

    Carl knows my taste in vehicles is eclectic, and I'm somewhat of a romanticist... but if I had the means, I would travel the continent in one of those. The Venetian Blue FJ43 at the top of that page is pretty close to perfect in my eyes. (I'm also a guy that thinks a lightly resto-modded 1970 Skyline 2000GT is the perfect weekend/track car.)

    Ahhh... the classic FJ. So cool, but SO slow! It's also great form of birth control. One ride will leave a woman's reproductive capabilities in a questionable state. ;)

    That fuel injected 4.5L makes 212 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. That's pretty decent grunt for a truck that only weighs 3500 lbs. They also upgrade the suspension to all OME parts, so they're much more "contemporary" when it comes to ride.

    I recently read the latest gen FJ40 is holding its value better than any other vehicle. Not a surprise since it's discontinued. Classic case of taking something away and people want it more...

    Hey, that engine looks really familiar. :cool: The truck is a little over the top for my tastes... I'd keep things a little more subdued, a little closer to the original intent if I had my way.

    That Defender is slick looking too @Fishtigua ... I looked at a mid-90s 110 diesel a year or two back here in Montreal that had been refreshed (not restored). Could have been fun.
