I recently lost a close friend who was too young to a drunk driver (of course the driver just has a broken wrist). It seems that it will impact someone you know at some point given how pervasive the issue is.

Just curious, why a YF publisher nails someone, whatever he/she has done...

Just curious why you all, or maybe the most of you, have such an attitude, me as a non US resident, I drink and drive my whole life, and never had any problem with the law or caused an accident, you probably have done that in your life too, and now are such a moralists... brrr, happy I live on an Island...

I went by the boat this afternoon. Still sitting with stern on beach, listing about 35 degrees to port, bow facing ocean, looks like they have a bunch of fuel drums on the beach behind it and a pump or generator etc. Boat is only a little more submerged than if it was floating. I think port rub rail was at water level. I took a picture but don't feel like re-sizing it right now.

No, I never drink and drive a car or a boat and never have. If that makes me a moralist, then I accept the title proudly.

Looking for a E body for a customer. If I pull it off, is she mine?

I was out diving and being captain during the Goliath Grouper aggregated here and also saw the boat and took pics. On one dive there were 20 fish in view- the smallest was 200 pounds the largest pushing 450- easily one of the best dives I've had in the last ten years. Nice to have two captains aboard so I can dive!
Captain J you should be letting me know you are up here!

My favorite Hatteras and he wrecks it. That's really sad.

Is there any update on this? Did they get her off the beach?

And would anyone want to bet that money is the problem now? Based on his history, would one have expected this to be taken care of promptly? Wonder if it was insured? Wonder who is the owner both in name and in reality? Notice in this article he's referred to as the Captain, not as the owner? Oh, the saga continues, but really, who does that surprise? Note that the salvage company would not comment.

If I was a city, county or even a state official, I would be embarrassed this has gone on this long.
That boat should have been removed long before now.
I'm expecting it's going to get worse before it's cleaned up.

I suspect you're right. I suspect it's become a matter of who pays. Meanwhile the cost just goes up more and more. Seems like it would have been rather simple when it was upright. Now, apparently, they're debating whether to remove it by water or by land.

A recovery company should of had it off the beach that same morning (with the tide). Not to broadcast my CV, but the delays as I see them have been full of BS.
It's 8 days (?) now and the wreck is still on the beach (on her beam now) loosing trash and filling with more water and sand.

    WTF?

Yes it should have been removed. I'm sure the owner is playing games.
