    hello out there - I am looking to upgrade my KVH dish (v7). I need a bigger foot print to cover the bahamas, using dirct tv. I'm aware that a bigger dish will help with that, but what i'm looking for is if there is anyone who has upgraded there dish recently in the 30" range, and what brand did you decide.

    How far south do you need to go? We have a KVH M7 on the boat I run and it works fine down to Gtown (a little more sensitive to rain obviously). Haven't been any further

    Previously with an M5 (I think) we d loose signal right before Emerald.

    we cruise south of long island, and would like to pick up satellites 101, and 119, english and spanish channels.
