interior finish on a Post

I know your Post is a lot younger than 1988 and most likely has a different interior finish.

This might be helpful.

below was cut and pasted from a 1988 46' Post owners book:
The book appears as though some of the info is for older 43 and 46 Posts's.
The book does not reference the 50 Post. I am not sure when the 50 started production.

FROM BOOK:

" Paint 43' and 46' "

Entire Exterior of boat is Interlux Exterior Gloss White #87, Mixed W/Ivory Interlux#224 (approx 8 oz/Gal.) to match Gelcoat.

Inside Colors are tinted using the Z-spar Gloss#100. Wood finished with Interlux#60 Rubbed effect Varnish.

Stained Pilot Houses, Doors & Drawers are McCloskey's Tungseal, Walnut Penetrating Wood Stain or Dupont Barnwood Stain ##1045C.

Exterior - - - Bridge Parts & Moulding around shelter are Teak finished with Dolfinite#110 Spar Varnish.

Teak treated with Tip-Top Teak (or equal) Mfg. by Tripple T. Enterprises, Inc., Palm Gardens Fla.

Engine room - - Interlux #289 Miami Tan & 50% Z-Spar #105

Boot Stripe - - Awl Grip Colors to Suit from chart

Teak Interiors are sealed with Interlux sanding Sealer #X9297 then finished with #60 Interlux Rubbed Varnish

Not to Hijack your post but a quick question about the cabinet finish also. My finish is in great shape but seems to get cloudy. If I wipe it hard like buffing it comes back to a great shine but in a few days it is cloudy again. Almost like there is a wax on the top of doors and panels. Any idea on hou to remove this and bring back to a nice shinny luster. My boat is a 1998 47' Post. Thanks for the help!

Beau, let me see what your trying to do. I have some of the colors that have been used

I'd have to look, if it's super shiny I may try interlux perfection clear, it's a 2 part.

I have a few small scrap pieces of teak that you can sand and use as test pieces to check color and shine before you do the pieces that will be put in place
