I have a 2005 Carver 36 MY. I am getting ready to move and I need the boat transported over land. Has anyone done this?

    Cost
Do I have to disassemble the fly bridge?
Can they move it in tact?

If I'm looking at it correctly, I believe the radar arch is an integral part of the fly bridge and not separately removable. If so, then the bridge will have to be removed. As it sits, the height of the boat is 17' 10". As to cost, you don't give us a hint where you're moving it from or where to.

I did it with a 444. My advice would be run the boat in the water if you can. If you have to run it over land most importantly do not use a broker. Carver uses Joule Yacht for transport last I had checked. Make sure to add a rider on your own insurance for over land transport just to be safe and do not pay upfront. I had problems and would never do that again with a large boat. The bridge and hard top will need to all come off but Carver does a nice job of making it plug and play.

Joule would be my first choice based on the fact they know the boat well. On their website they also list shipyards and marinas they're had success working with. A lot of Carvers have been transported.

My first choice is always water, but having no idea where he's starting or ending, have no way to know if that's practical or not.

I have a 3607 Aft-Cabin. I bought this boat from a bank/repo auction. I moved it from a landlocked impoundment to a river. I moved it 10 miles and it cost me 1,000 dollars. To keep from removing the bridge, I had to ride in the boat pushing up light wires. I don't know how long your trip will be, but luckily you won't have to ride in the boat.
