Monaco Wolf is for sale asking €29.5M.

Amor Mio has been delivered. Great looking yacht. I'm not usually the biggest fan of these sport type yachts but she has some good lines.

Additionally, Ann G has been featured in a magazine with interior photos and layouts. She's probably my favorite 50m yacht currently. For photos, see below.

Kormeta is named Galactica Supernova.

Interesting... Possibly for the same owner as Galactica Star?

I remember there were rumors of Galactica Star being sold in summer 2013. The current owner of Heesen yachts also owns a yacht called Galactica. So it is possible that is was ordered by either one of them. The interior of Galactica Supernova is quite different though.

Galactica Star was sold back then so it is possible.

As we are speaking about sales.. Ice Angel is still (or again?) for sale altough she is now called Rocket.

I wonder If...
1- If they all 3 have the same commissioning owner.
2- If He will sell Super Nova like he did Star soon after delivery.

Dillon, You would be surprised how many larger (and smaller) Dutch yachts are built and sold like this. Spec boats are common practise by many Dutch yards. They even like building their yachts without being "disturbed" by a customer . Especially the semi custom branch "loves" this procedere. I actually know of only two Dutch Megayacht builder which never would build yachts without a signed contract. Building yachts for the Yard owner is one more trick to camouflage Specboats. Btw. some Italian yards do the same.

Pretty risky way of making business but the Dutch yacht industry gets backing by their government. Anyhow the Dutch yacht industry is in rough seas. We will see one or the other well known Dutch yard closing its doors within the next year(s) or being taken over by others. Jongert was taken over by ACICO (with pretty thin orderbooks itself), ICON is gone, Claasen Yachtbouw just had a management buyout combined with a takeover by Vitters, Royal Huisman has accepted an large investor (shareholder) to be able to expand and we will see more of this during the year.

Not every dealer is Dutch but every Dutch is a dealer (old saying in northern Europe ).

Icon is still around with new owners.

Yes and its orderbooks filled overnight with the new ownership. It is not the same yard anymore. The Dutch yacht- and shipbuilding industry has a general problem with overcapacity. They will have to go through a painfull
shrinkage process but the Netherlands will always be a great ship and yacht building nation. Just a little overweight for the present and upcomming market.

The other problem is, some yards are limited in the size of their products because of their location on canals and behind locks. With the market asking for bigger and bigger yachts, some will just not survive unless they will find their niche in the big game.

The Dutch yachting industry is building great products with superb craftsmanship, design and naval architecture. I buy my boats in the Netherlands too. I just do not like some of their "tricks" and this awfull exaggerated advertising. Every little improvement (if it is one at all) is the reinvention of the wheel and could only be achieved by Dutch genius. Sometimes it sounds to me like the cackle of a young hen after her first egg. A self confident company does not need that.

Heesen launched a new 50M with a grey hull it appears.

Heesen has added a couple of new projects to their website that I haven't heard about before. It looks like they have a new 75M aluminum FDHF under build as project Vesta well and a 60M under build in steel with the project name of Ceres. They look nice and will utilize the new construction facility they have built.
