    SILVER FAST returning to port on the 19th October. Note the damage on her bows made when she was alongside Gibraltar earlier that day. Still trying to find out what she hit / how she managed to hit it or if she was hit herself. She left after taking on fuel, stayed in the bay and then returned in the evening whe she spent the night alongside whilst her damage was surveyed.

    looks will need quite a paintwork..But I dont understand why it is going to " hurt its market value " while we dont know the reason of the damage..

    Every yacht, plane or car with a known (and documented) damage history, even if repaired perfectly, will loose on its market (resale) value. It does not matter who's fault the accident was. The sentence "no damage history" is always in the top region of any advertisement.
