I do like that color. In fact that is the color I will go with if I don't go white. To be honest though it's looking more and more like I'm going to do white and then do a stripe just below the deck.
Congrats on the Huckins Ed Kelly. Did you recently purchase Huck Fin? I remember seeing this or a similar yacht for sale until a few months ago. Cheers, George
Thanks. I've had her for a few yrs. There is a similar 56' Sportsman that is for sale that you may have seen.
Huck Fin is now on the market. She is updated and ready to cruise. http://www.**************/boats/196...5/St.-Augustine/FL/United-States#.VpPQ4k1Ii9I
I have never heard that, but Mr Herreshoff said there were only two colors to paint a boat: white or black, and only a **** fool would paint a boat black. Of course their boats were all wood, paints and glues weren't what they are today. Best, Maldwin
I stand corrected, p.58 Living Legacy ...pearl gray was what you got from the yard. Period! And a very light pg at that!
If the inside looks a nice as the outside, it's in "as new" condition or better. It made my day to see her there.
Ping. Been a long time. Seems Blake is open to letting go of Si-Go and there's another interested party with whom I have have had the pleasure of sharing much detail and history. I wish Blake had reached out. Si-Go may live on, and that makes my heart glad. I had thought she was cut and burned by now. With everything we did to and for her, there shouldn't be much that could go wrong or be bad except from subsequent owners' neglect. Blake, may I have permission to share some of the photos the prospective buyer hadn't shared with me?
