Just got down here and its really nice. Show seems a little larger than the past. Anyone else thinking that as well? Hopefully a good show in spite of the forecast for tomorrow and friday.
Weather was between great and way too hot to barely be Spring. Had sprinkles for a few minutes but barely enough to make the sunscreen run. Crowds seemed to be good, but the boat show seemed to be mostly more of the same. A few new entries but mostly repeats from Miami, FLIBS...
I don't even want to think about the cost of showing in those three shows and the space rental is just a part of that cost. Getting the boats to and from, personnel, and all the other related costs add up quickly. I would probably try to just show in Fort Lauderdale and one of the other two.
Great show, I was there today. You can walk the whole show in one day and still see all you want. Lots of smiles and a happy atmosphere.
The admiral and I went to the show yesterday. It seemed a bit larger than last year and a nice show overall and a good one day show as Bamboo said.
I'm envious of everyone who can attend the PB show this year. I'm just returning from Bradenton for round #3 of Regenexx injections to treat a torn meniscus in my knee...
With all the grumbling about Collins Ave., I wouldn't be surprised to see this show grow! Went for the first time in many years and was pleasantly surprised. Easy in, easy out, lots of off premise restaurants, and an all around nice feel.
Was busy working the show but had to wait for Saturday night to get the after-dark photos. Here are some that capture the night's glow.
Thanks for the outstanding pictures, Tom. The PBBS looks better at night, or at least through your lenses. The photo of sportfishers is awesome. Your talent has morphed into art.
Great shots all CaptTom however my favorite is 7709 of the bright blue dusk sky with the lone star shining bright, just magical!
Takes one to know one, Disco. I hadn't sufficiently appreciated the lone star shot til you pointed it out.
Show Management issued a press release on the 2015 PB Boat Show; something most us already knew... the geo-local of the target demographic has shifted. (Self serving promotional rhetoric from vendors has been edited from this PR)
