Shaft size on 1992 Carver 3608

    Took a trip out to the marina today to see how the boat wintered. I need to replace the sacrificial anodes. I measured the shaft and it was 1 3/8 ths. Can this be right. I thought they would either be 1 1/2 or 1 1/4. Any insights would be helpful.

    It's possible. I would've guessed 1.5", but you should be able to easily measure the shaft diameter from inside of the boat right behind the gear.

    I didn't have a calliper so was using a tape measure. I'm going back out in a couple of weeks and will take my calipers so I can get a true measurment. I'm thinking they are probably 1.5". The boat is on the hard so access to the shafts isn't a problem

    I would assume that it is 1.5, but don't quote me on that.

    You could always buy both sizes and return the one that doesn't fit...

    That would probably be easier than making a second trip just to measure it. You could just install them on the second trip.
