If someone offered you $4245 for it now would you sell the car?

The car has a written appraisal of $ 8500.00
List price for the Monte Carlo in 1977 was $ 6745.00
My father worked at General Motors and in those days a General Motors employee could order a new car and when it arrived at the dealership it was given to a General Motors Executive to drive for three months or 3,000 miles then the car was returned to you. That was a pretty go discount in those days. I will be in Florida in February I will deliver it to you!

I wasn't making an offer, I was wondering if you thought it was worth more now than when you paid $4245 for it.

That being said, if it is for sale, you should post it - there are lots of people that would want it, especially if it's in Bristol condition. I drove them on a daily basis when I was younger, they were in the fleet of my employer. They were almost as popular a rental as the 77 Cutlass.

    A fake ad from 2013, the real one was for BMW in 2008;

That reminds me in high school cigarette race boats had an ad of a beautiful woman laying face down on the sand next to the water with huge cleavage, and it said "do it in a cigarette, if you can"...... I loved that magazine ad.

Sorry about that, just got it in an email from a friend who use to own a hi-perf tire business,...figured those Europeans were a little less frigid about ads like that.
    It was good...:)

Got this little Beauty a few weeks ago.
Kind of exotic as it is a diesel station wagon in the USA.
We all know Americans don't like no Wagons and they don't like no diesels:D

Yup, that's me. Never thought I'd own a truck. Now, there's not much I'd rather drive.

(except for that little red thing tailgating me)

Somehow I seem to remember your truck got stolen a few years ago?
You got it back or got a new one..?

Yup, I had a truck as well, a Chevy Silverado but needed my own gas station to feed it.
Just back from Tampa in my Diesel Wagon today, 42 mpg @ 80 mph.
If I drove the speed limit @ 70 it would probably show 44 on the various 'puter read outs. (2 digital and 1 analog mpg indicators )

Yep, my old truck was stolen. A 2000 F250 with that legendary, bullet-proof 7.3 diesel. Took me a year to find that truck. Stolen 3 weeks later! Anyhow, Geiko reimbursed me well. Time was against me in shopping for a replacement. The old 7.3's with low miles are far and few between, so I went in partners with Ford Motor Credit and bought a 2012 F250. I needed a good tow vehicle for the YF photo boat which weighed nearly 10,000 lbs with trailer, so my options were limited to something diesel. I really don't need something this big now, but the mileage isn't terrible (16/22) and it brings joy to my inner redneck.

I personally own 1952 Mercedes Gullwing prototype and I restore and sell 300SL roadsters and Gullwings and most pre 1971 Mercedes classics for a living
