According to marinetraffic Venus has just exited the Panama Canal headed South into the Pacific at around 17 knots.

She last transited the Canal in February of 2013.

Yeah it's nice. Probably wouldn't be nice to be in there when outside is rough.

It is a cool shot. I never noticed the woodwork around the pool/tub before.

Venus just docked at the Rybovich Shipyard in Palm Beach; as she was approaching the coast she was traveling at a good 20 knots.

Darn. Wish we were home. That would be worth the trip to see and I say that about very few boats, as I'm not in awe of other boats generally. And it's not because I like the boat, as I am not attracted to it, but just because it's so unique.

Don't fret Brett. Venus orbits Rybo. There will be other opportunities.

There is always something to see at Rybo. Better than Disneyworld. Well, I won't go that far. Better than Solid Gold. Well, ok...I'll just leave it as a good place to cruise by for sightseeing.

Not like there are a lot of yards that can handle a boat that size.

Interesting story, Starck said he designed it all in an hour and a half. This I believe...

And of course no changes were conducted. Funny thing is he said the same about designing "A" also in his bed within 2 hours.

A few other details in that interview sound strange, like sizing the yacht of the widow of your (supposedly) good friend if you havenĀ“t had any difficulties with them before. It is very interesting, and clearly Steve Jobs knew very well what he wanted, and that is a big part of the success of Venus. Starck on his own produces yachts like A, where the design completely overrides reality and practicality.

First video of Venus I have seen where you can see some of her interior starting after the 2 minute mark!

I wanted to see the garage close all the way with those fender/handrails still deployed. About 3:00 in.

Crew brought the stern door up due to the invasion of privacy just as the majority of Mega yachts will do when a vessel with a camera crew comes motoring by. When the little boat went away the beach club re-opened for the guests.

I know you're in public and have no presumption of privacy, but still I have a problem just as they do with people with cameras who haven't asked if it's ok. I just find something wrong about the pursuit of seeing inside someone's boat.

You will also realize that the radar wasn't spinning until they realize the boat was circling around them.
