winterizing 1997 mariner 350

    first year with this boat, any tips on how to winterize it RIGHT? we didn't get manuals with it. closed cooling system on motors. we like to be able to do it ourselves . thank you for your time. JB&JB

    Check BoatUS, they have a good check list.
    Off the top of my head:
    Sinks
    Bilges
    Fresh water system inc ice maker and swim platform shower
    Air Conditioner
    Shower sumps fore and aft
    Engines
    Generator
    Toilets and Holding tanks. Also very important, overboard discharge plumbing
    Dinghy motor
    Disconnect all batteries
    Make sure your insurance covers freeze damage
    And anything else I forgot.

    Winterizing in Freeport ought to be the last of your concerns.
