It was a long day (and night) for our staff. The migration and subsequent issues took nearly 12 hours. We're getting some rest and will return on Saturday afternoon to fix anything that's broken. If the migration had gone smoothly on Friday, we'd be sipping drinks under umbrellas on the aft deck of a big white boat by now. I think I found the boat...

Well, it's working...or appears to be. Get some rest.

Originally, I had the standard disclaimer displayed "YF is down for an upgrade. Please check back." Changed my mind and opted to poke some fun at all the lurkers on YF. Hopefully it irritated them enough to inspire.

Gotta get some rest. I'm at the end of an 18 hour day.

The fact you retained humor through it all is great. Certainly not the standard disclaimer. My wife called you a few names for it between her giggling over it. Hope now your big issues are all over and just tweaks and small fixes. Probably the bigger question isn't the forum but all your custom software and search engines.

    Compliments to the Publisher.

I'm not seeing the slowness, although sure there will be some issues. I imagine some initial delay as previously it might have been sped up by your cache.

I got a good laugh from it. Actually had to read it twice.

Welcome back. So far everything works!

Hmmm... it's lickity-split fast for me, but we have yet to remove the old database from the server. Was planning to keep it as a back up until we know everything is stable.

Can I get a couple of you guys to register with new accounts, using an email address OTHER than the one your original account is using? Trying to confirm the auto-mailers are being sent. I'll remove the membership for you afterwards, but this may be an issue.

Need to get used to the new layout, but I have great respect for all the effort Carl put into YF, and almost half a day without YF.......it felt like forever!!

Keep up the good work Carl!!

    Nice.
The old DB should not affect performance. As long as it's separated but that should be the case here.

Carl, you might want to turn directory listings off in Apache.

Edit: New account, sure, waiting for confirmation mail.

I don't know if I'm liking the new YF. It seems with the colors, it's harder to read......and as anything......the older you get the less you like learning new things.
