Your AIS went offline half way thru your day trip and the camera got bumped. slight list to stb. Glad your clutch is O K.
We made a good call coming in here. I've been watching a nasty storm cell moving across the lake ahead of us, and we'd have been in the middle of it if we tried to make Detroit. Last night's storm brought almost 60 mph winds and had me scrambling to get more lines out with the boat pulled 5' away from the dock. Tonight I have 6 lines off my bow and 3 off my stern in case tonight's storms bring anything like that. Marine traffic has been spotty at best. They had us in Port Cobourne until we hit Cleveland. Internet too was spotty today. Guess there's not many cell towers between Cleveland and here. Plus we had a server problem earlier in the day. The camera has always had a a slight stbd list due to its position on the brow. I tried to adjust it once, but it was pretty well frozen. I think we did a good job yesterday catching and dealing with our problem. That could have ended our season. Instead a sight delay and no damage. We just took a walk around Sandusky. Pretty little town, but the streets were empty at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Shame. Tomorrow we'll get off the dock a little later. Probably between 9 & 10 as they have storms forecast earlier. An extra hour's sleep.
Did you miss something during your walk? Kalahari Waterparks, Resorts & Conventions•Sandusky, Ohio•The Reserve Restaurant
Let's see you get yourself out of that one rcrapps. I think Belle smells blood in the water. Lol. (My wife would too). Let me defuse by saying that food is not my high priority. I'd rather check out the architecture in a town like this. That's the Carnegie library and the old jail.
Perhaps we did but just wanted to hear you admit it.....Perhaps a critical MCP? hehe They are probably the owners of two large nearby businesses having a business meeting.
Now that's about as big an assumption as Rcrapps. Back to the thread now. Beautiful day so far. Some storms in the forecast, but so far so good. Then cam is boring right now, but it should liven up this afternoon as we start nearing Detroit.
I take what I get, but this is when it's enjoyable. Should be calm all day unless a thunderstorm rolls in.
@ 1050 et, Your video showed a white (blond) guy on da bow, Owner? Seas look good. If we were in the Atlantic, I'd have a couple of plastic baits dragging behind me. I do not have a clue what's in the lakes. Any big fish? I do look forward to your adventures going thru the electric river and those big carp slapping towards you. Maybe need a second camera?
If it weren't for your comment last night I'd be thinking you're a politician. Granted it looks blond in the mirror, but all my pictures seem to turn it...shall we say platinum. Nope, that's the captain. No fishing off this boat. I'm a boater that neither eats nor catches fish and an Irishman who doesn't drink. A walking contradiction . There was a shark up in Kingston Harbor when we were there. Big enough? Not too concerned with the carp unless they're training for the Olympics. We have pretty high sides. Right now we're racing a storm. Check Accuweather radar. Sure wish this boat did 20 kts instead of 11 at this moment. Don't want to be docking if something like the other night in Cleveland roll in. Right now our ETA is about 1615, but we may pull in earlier if it looks like we're losing the race.
Too Funny. You are traveling West, in general; but will be traveling NE through Detroit to Lake St Clair.
