    Hi all,
I purchased my 2002 58' Fairline in 2009 and have enjoyed it quite a bit, although it has not been without its large share of problems and issues. More so that I expected, quite honestly. However, none have compared to what I am facing now, which is the headliner material failing and sagging heavily throughout the boat. I've kept the boat as free of moisture as possible, and everyone has told me it is due to the foam backing behind the vinyl material simply disintegrated over time.

The quotes to have it all redone are staggering so far, in the tens of thousands. I am wondering a) if anyone knows someone who works on this stuff in Southern California and does good work? b) if anyone has used any other material or treatment that may be more economical and possible more durable over the long term?

I feel ya. We are replacing now in San Diego. Same cause of foam disintegrating on whisperwall. Was many thousands but worth it. We also replaced lights with Led. Of course bunch of unplanned electrical. I do have a great headliner resource in San Diego. Just PM me.

Contact Alberto Galante at Fairline California. I am certain he will be able to assit you. You will find his contact details on the Fairline website. Tell him you are a friend of Tarek in Egypt.

I thought Fairline were a quality builder. Another example of quality marketing not backed up by the product. At the prices asked for a Fairline you don't expect this in such a short time.

I think it's a law or something. Euroboat headliners have to fall down. Same with Eurocars.
