Don't own a yacht right now
Just my opinion on aesthetics, I don't find these yachts ugly. I actually like them, but not to the point of wanting one.

On a different aspect of the Yachtplus yachts -- does anyone know why two of the yachts are currently for sale on Yachtworld at drastically different prices -- one is offered at over $10 million ( built in 2009) and the other (a year newer, 2010) is offered at less than $8 million. I am surprised at the different prices, and that the latter one is offered so low -- $8 million is less than half of what the yacht was sold for to the initial fractional owners ( if they paid the advertised price on the Yachtplus website) and almost two-thirds lower than the prices currently offered on the Yachtplus website for fractional shares (in the aggregate). Anybody know what is going on with Yachtplus? Thanks -- CNRules

A glimpse at Ocean Sapphire in Cannes. The design of these Yacht Plus vessels are interesting....odd and interesting at the same time.

As a follow up to this question from 7 years ago that was never responded to....

I've seen many attempts to promote fractional ownership but it seems still there are very few boats owned this way. A couple of Florida brokers pushing it but from what I'm aware of still very few boats involved. So what have others of you observed, here and worldwide. Is it growing? Failing? Or has just reached it's level that it will likely stay?

One of them has finally been sold. The 2010-built "Ocean Sapphire" was recently sold after being on the market for a reported 5 years.

Interesting, because Ocean Sapphire was reportedly first re-sold around August 2015 reportedly at less than EUR 4,180,000 . See article at https://www.***************.com/yacht-news/41-metre-superyacht-ocean-sapphire-sold (saying in last sentence "Floating Life acted on behalf of the seller while Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage represented the buyer. Ocean Sapphire was listed at an asking price of EUR 4,180,000"). Maybe the public perception of this style has improved over time, and the recent sale price has improved --- who knows??
