    Hi,

The accidents and injuries that often follow such a statement are not confined to the rank of Captain as far as I am aware.

There ain't many Captains who have received a Darwin Award but I bet there is more than one whose last words were those quoted above.

It also sounds like an owner encouraging him. Perhaps even to the extent of daring or challenging. Stupid on all parts. But so far stupidity isn't a crime. We wouldn't have worried about a captain, but perhaps guests at some point so actually put this in our policies and procedures. No jumping or diving off decks. Except in emergency situations only way to enter water is from swim platform. But then we don't have a diving board on our pool at home either.

And what are the odds alcohol was involved on the part of one or more?

Probably so, but avoiding some worry as well. We find other ways around and in the pool to have fun.

With NO alcohol involved or NO diving board?

Put the two together and it's even more fun (as long as it's somebody else pool).

Us Pharts & Crapps have to use somebodys pool......

Guests especially kids love to jump from the upper decks. We only let guests do that if the water is deep enough obviously but they pay a lot of money to have fun, not be thrown a condo size rule book.

Then what? No drinking, or god forbid no dancing because they could twist an ankle? Maybe no sex either. :)

Well, I didn't say no drinking. I just suggested alcohol was likely involved. As to my guests, they don't pay anything. We have plenty of fun. Just jumping from the upper decks isn't something we do. If we were inclined to do so, I would say we don't really have an easy way for people to safely do it. As to sex, no rules against it.....plus plenty of hot tub activity. And when out at sea clothing minimalism. Although right now in Washington and too cold here for that.

Well, the fact he's been dead for 12 years, we won't tell him.

Always happy, never worry, especially while eating a FlufferNutter sandwich.

The King liked BananaNutter sandwiches; but I prefer the Fluff. ;)
