Does the rest look something like this, prior to the wheel mod? http://gallery.sportsandclassics.co...ustin-healey-3000-mk3/2013-09-04-11-54-36.jpg
These carbs are definitely SUs, not strombergs. Most British builders switched to ZS to meet emissions in the late 60s which I guess wasn't possible with the SUs.
Ya see this? Learning more every day about sweet ole cars,,, on a yacht forum. What a deal and no extra charge. ,rc
You got it! That is the photo from Sports & Classics website. John Peters spent a lot of time finding the right car for me. I was determined to get a BJ8 3000 Mk3 phase 2, and he found it after a lot of effort and negotiations on my behalf. Also thanks to Capt. J for acting as my Treasurer! Some more photos, first time the car has seen daylight for 20 years. Waiting for progress photos on the work being done:
I just can't imagine changing gears with my left hand. Look forward to reports on the right side conversion and how well she drives.
When in college my best friend had the identical car. We swapped cars a lot, and I loved the Healy 3000 except for very low ground clearance on rutted roads. Two years later I bought a Sunbeam Tiger, what a nice ride that Carrol Shelby design ride was.
