OK, let's face it, when your girlfriend's best friend is hot... you don't mind when she hangs around. What was innocent infatuation turned into a real connection. At first, it was short talks, then came long walks. We spent a lot of quality time together and of course, we cuddled. Little did I know that a stroke here and a pat there would get much me in this much trouble.

It was hard breaking the news to Nancy. I knocked up her best friend. Here's Ally at the doctor's office, weighing in..

I know. I'm baffled by all this too. About 6 months ago I met Nancy (the girl I'm dating) and she introduced me to her sulfur-crested cockatoo named Ally; a bird she's spent 15 years training. Because I liked her bird and the bird liked me, Nancy allowed me to babysit Ally while she was at work. Frankly, Ally is good company. I work alone, from home, so Ally is a welcome diversion.

Having no experience with birds, I simply gave her the same affection that anyone else would. Unbeknownst to me, petting a bird on the back, below the neck, is somewhat like kissing a girl behind the ear. Female birds get aroused and the next thing you know, she's cooking something in the oven.

How was I suppose to know...?

..., it comes in many forms (especially when there is snow on the ground/Floridians have heard of snow, no?)
Any case, it has to stop, lest we (forcibily) send in a intervention team, before itz 2 LATE!
    Cheers,

I missed it too, what a laugh!
The fact that Ally is attached to you and Nancy is a good sign, usually the bond is strong with just one person. Sounds like you might have to make an honest bird out of her;)

I fell in love with Ally. Not so much with Nancy! Fortunately, Nancy began dating another guy and granted me joint custody of Ally. Sadly and quite disturbingly, when I began dating someone else, Nancy revoked joint custody!

I'm thankful for the time with Ally. I learned a LOT! If ever anyone is considering the purchase of a bird (or having children)... rent one first! They require a lot of attention. If they don't get it, hell hath no fury like a bored bird.

I was recently looking at a Hyacinth Macaw. Majestically blue birds with the sweet, loving and playful personalities of Cockatoos, but they are VERY expensive...

Pity that didn't work out. Interesting how a woman’s mind works, it was okay while you were single but when there was another girl involved.......go figure!
As for buying a Macaw or Parrot or Cockatoo:
    Glad you brought this up.
There should be a compulsory course for people thinking of it, if that sounds extreme to others, then take a look at "Rescue Centres" that are run by bird lovers to take care of birds that are being abandoned, abused or inherited. A friend runs one here on the Gold Coast and there are some sad stories.

I see my Macaw as being permanently mischievous, fun BUT needy friend. That is not a "pet" but a friend you are responsible for over decades, sometimes 60 or more years.

Re the Hyacinth! The BEST of the Macaws! Illegal to own in Australia or I would probably have one too.

Years ago I was driving to dinner when I saw a cockatiel on the road that cut through 2 fields. Knowing that it'd soon be racoon food I stopped to save it. If I had thought I'd have realized that there was a reason someone left it there. I didn't even take the hint when the little B.....d almost took off my thumb off as I picked him up.
At the time I worked out of my house...a small house. "Fiesty" found a friend in a mocking bird outside the window by his cage. He'd scream and the mocking bird would scream back, so he screamed back at the mocking bird. All day every day. By the time my wife came home each day I'd be trembling like a guy going through detox. This went on for about 3 months until I was ready to cook him for dinner. Nice guy that I am, I instead gave him to my wife's cousin who had two of the most obnoxious kids ever to walk on earth. Figured it was a match made in hell. Even there he only lasted 3 months. No she didn't cook him although I would have come to the bar-b-que. She gave the beast to a woman who had an aviary in her home.
I'll stick with dogs and cats.

You knocked her up and still can't see her? What about yours and Ally's kid or kids?
