    Thanks everyone for the input...that has been a delay, partly because of me being gravely ill for several months with an unknown infection that brought on sepsis, but also because the yard is not the most organised.

    In any event, after much deliberation, I went with Awlgrip "off white" for the hull and the pilot house. I seriously considered having teak veneer on the PH but eventually decided it looked a bit too traditional and fusty. She was after all built in the early 60's and is very much of that era - a real James Bond boat - rather than the older 1950s style. In any event she's now paint and having her bling fitted. Sea trails soon I hope

    Good call David. Back in those days there were no 'brilliant' whites, shades were a little more subdued due to the lack chemical know-how we now have today.

    Pleeease keep us up-dated, this is one of my favourite threads.
