1929 built Ersa, 77' NYYL&E cruiser just sank in the lagoon in Destin, FL. Somebody please save this grand old vessel!

it would appear that the owner passed away some time back and the estate has been struggling to find her a new owner. Google reveals an auction site that is advertising her with a suggested opening bid of $150K. This is a shame.

P.S.- Hey, Disco, is that a ceiling fan in Stateroom 1 (1:16)?

Terrible, she doesn't look to bad of shape. If I didn't already own 56' of 1930 wood I'd be on my way to Fl.

Perhaps they've found their new owner - the insurer. A wooden yacht of this size and vintage is a huge responsibility, both financial and emotional. Certainly not for everyone. She does seem to have had good stewardship up until her owner's passing. If she's raised soon and the mains and gens gotten to quickly, she's still a do-able project. Reversing some of her "updates" could be daunting for a purist who wants her to look correct.
