Adele is a woderful singer, I love her, but I wouldn't hire her to design my yacht (if I had one). Steve Jobs was legendary in his work, which has nothing to do with yachts, very far apart. And Phillipe Starck was a good interior designer, far away from designing yachts. No wonder the result is a very sexy piece of what looks like floating furniture of some kind. Never underestimate experience and professionalism.

Wait she is completed already? Seems so with her flying the C.I ensign from the aft pole.

I think she was already completed when the whole thing between Philippe Starck and the Jobs family was going on, they just delayed the delivery.

Roughly two months from launch to departure/delivery/handover? That was pretty fast. But I suppose due to her design...not alot of exterior space to fit out...most of this boat is indoor space.

Would be nice if she headed here from Tenerife. Most yachts that stop off in Tenerife to refuel....come here for the pit stop from crossing.

It´s becoming a trend to take delivery of your brand new yacht and first thing you do is cross the Atlantic! Brave owners! I personally would take it for a stroll for a few days, just a few, just in case the icemakers couln´t cope with me!

One must remember that M/Y Venus had some involuntary Dock Queen time to ascertain if the icemakers could cope.

She also took a stroll to the Rock. That could be considered her shakedown cruise after leaving the factory.

Afterall, she is headed for TENERIFE, not the factory. ;)

I´m assuming Tenerife is not the final destination. An american in the Canary Islands is a rare sight, but the Caribbean is full of them.

According to local press in Tenerife, she will be heading to Palm Beach Florida in about three days from now.
I am very interested if some YF readers will be able to see Venus there irl, and if that will change their opinion of this work of art. Hopefully they will give feedback here! :)

Looks like Venus doesn't have custom tenders like A.
