Sometimes they do that but generally the yacht would come in, once it can fit of course. 70-meter is the biggest yacht I've seen gone in there, "Utopia". "Germania Nova" is actually supposed to come in but she probably is waiting for slip 1 to be cleared, that's the berth "2 Ladies" is at right now and she is going to depart in a few days.
Yep, I have never...seen one in Barbados until then. You are right...may look like a bath tub but it's no slouch as you saw in the pic. Not as slow as it's looks may allow you to think.
Some photos I took from in the North by the PSC Marina...tonight. * Overall view... * Function going on at the Yacht Club * "Inmocean" by Fitzroy * "Bow on to "Inmocean" * "Svetlana"
It's cool, thanks. She looked nice on the night, I don't know if she was fully lit because the function was at the Yacht Club or what but whatever the reason, she looked spectacular in person, first time me seeing her in person, first time in B'dos for her as well
"Svetlana" not too long departed the marina and Barbados...meanwhile... the 68-meter "Archimedes" arrived early this morning. I'm preparing to head down there now and photograph her.
A few more...I'm really waiting until outside gets dark, I believe the Feadship will be fully lit as she appears to have guests onboard.
Oh beautiful Photos there... Nice x-mas present not only for you! But Ron you forgot to introduce the nice lady next to the SY, looks like aHaakvort? Nice to see guests aboard "Archimedes"... I remember an unpleasant incident icaused trough the custom police during her stay in Germany in 2010! I am shure the people in Barbados know to deal with her appropriately...
Sorry about that... I really didn't bother to caption each pic this time...and as I didn't you ask for clarification. ok! From Right to LEFT. In the corner at slip 1 is "Dare to Dream", 2, "Our Way", 3, "Inmocean" 4, "Lady Emily" 5, "Challenger 2", "Challenger 1" and some other raceboats, iI think a Volvo 70. The Sport Fish I took through the inlet at one of the face docks on the residences is a Palmer Johnson SF named "Rainmaker" I think it is...
Seems like The Lazzara hasn't moved in a long time. Is Port St Charles it's homebase? Do you shoot your pictures in raw or jpeg?
Some shots from tonight. Photography was quite tricky the sea was pretty rough down there, total opposite to how it was when I went in the morning. "Archimedes" was bouncing around like a cork so it was really difficult to get decent night shots of her. Anyhow here's my attempt...
I really like the last frame with the lighted mast mysteriously pointing towards the dark night sky! Nice!!
