I am purchasing a 1987 Carver 3607 Aft Cabin and it is missing the ladder for the swim platform. Any ideas of where I can buy one or ideas on what is a good replacement ladder? It is the lower swing down section. Thanks.

Can't help you with the ladder but our first boat was an 85 3607. It is a great boat tons of storage, great handling. I hope you really enjoy her

Is it the kind that swings up onto the platform or that slides in under a door or the platform? In either case it's pretty standard equipment and can be gotten through most dealerships. Doesn't even have to be Carver. In fact you can even get them through West Marine:

Telescoping Swim Ladder with Safety Stick, Over Platform, 4-Step Ladder

You probably will not find the one that swings up and meets the ladder to the aft deck, but that's good news. That old ladder was always a hassle and never felt sure footed even when latched.

I would install an under platform slide out mounted one.

In fact, are you sure someone didn't already put one under the platform and you haven't noticed it yet?

    Thanks

I didn't notice one when the boat was hauled for survey but I'll take a look again.

Thanks for all the info everyone.

    Happy Holidays!

Do this, I've had our 3607 for going on 4 yrs. This yr the platform is coming off and a new ladder is going under it, Going to install it in the center in a custom pocket I'm going to make.

Heading to the boatyard on the 26th to take a look again and get them to mount a slide out ladder. I'm hoping I just missed seeing it already there. Thanks for the idea.
