    Well spotted! Seen folding masts on small yachts and inland waterway shipping but never on such a very large superyacht! Hopefully it's safe for the crew or people from specialized companies to work up there...

    "Topaz's" mast has been lowered in other ports too not just in Gibraltar...that is the drawback of having the exhaust stacks side by side the mast.

    I know Old Phart and I do apologise but these pics were taken by my dad and he usually passes them onto me when he fill a memory stik of photos which could mean every 4 to 6 months. Add to that, my own photos (which are a lot as I dont only take pics of yachts but shipping in general and other projects such as team photographer for my kids football team), family, work etc etc, this leave very little time to sort pics out etc. Hopefully 5-10 more years before the kids leave the nest (I hope) and another 20 odd years to retire, hopefully by then I will be able to post them as they come :D

    I was always curious too. I figured you have a day job and as it turns out soooo much more!!! So thanks for taking the time to share a few of you and your Dad's beautiful yacht pictures with the rest of the world.

    My life is enhanced by the shots from your so unique vantage point for yacht watching! Thanks again for sharing!!!!!
