That is the first time I have seen anything of that Wally, "Better Place". She looks interesting since completion.

    The Gathering Storm!

    Between yesterday

    monocabay2.JPG

and today our count in the bay has gone from 70+ to 100+

    monacobay5.JPG

In the harbor there are another 80+ yachts that have their AIS turned on

to say nothing of all the additional boats that don't have AIS or don't have it turned on that are all part of the tribe.

No matter how you look at it perhaps the greatest gathering of dinghies, boats, yachts, super yachts, and mega yachts yet seen!!

Now how totally awesome is that!!!!! :D

In the show are normaly 90-100 yachts and with an averange length of 45m this year ( a new record)...

@ Innomare: Brave?! I thought it would be helpfull for my future career to learn chinese... all in all it makes much fun!

Ahh, some new YouTube videos!!! As it is now7:25PM in Monaco, I sure want to see more videos, images, reports, etc...

Just curious, how does Prince Albert II decide on which yachts to grace with his presence?? If I had a new beauty there I would be more than delighted and honored to have him visit my yacht!!! :D

    Cheers,

In Antibes with Lars. We have limited Internet access. We worked the show yesterday, but spent today taking pictures of the yachts anchored offshore at Monaco, then toured a line of Lurssens at International Yacht Club Antibes (IYCA).

I am unable to attach images from an iPad, so it will have to wait until I'm stateside. There are a few new concept / new build projects to report on. Both Lloyd's and Palmer Johnson have some interesting, if not radical new proposals.

I'm back to the show tomorrow, then headed home Saturday. Will try to upload some pics on Sunday, if I don't spend the day catching up on sleep.

    Best to all...

Monaco yacht show this year seems much smaller than the last 2 - 3 years, I wonder if statistically it's actually decreased compared to the past.

I thought it was about the same as the last years, but I did not count the boats. Here is an overview:
