    Well in a way it is a joke, she can travel into space and back again at 17,580 mph yet once back on the planet she travels on the back of a barge at a measley 8 knots!

    Whatever happened to piggy backing on a 747 at 500 mph?

    Oh the irony of it all!!

    Thanks for posting such a great vid! So they do so still use the 747 to shuttle the Shuttle around the country!! Awesome!!!

    The best part for me was that the video conjured up lots of wonderful memories of the days I lived in LA eons ago. I was lucky enough to have been to all of the cool places shown in the video.

    The film makers were fortunate that the Shuttle arrived on a low smog day. I decided to leave LA when I walked out of my office on Hollywood Blvd and couldn't see any further down the street than a couple of phone poles as the smog completely obliterated everything else!!!
