Well looks like it is a 37 footer made in second year of production and the sixth one made that year at the Roamer Plant in Michigan

"Grand Slam" an the Tennessee River

Our "Grand Slam" .... RMQ-58-0520R .... is a 58' Aluminum-hulled Roamer Riviera Model with two Caterpillar D336 motors providing propulsion. She was built in 1971 and had original seatrial speeds over 22Kts.

1971 58' Roamer "Suzie Q"

He is the second owner and has had it since early 2000. He has put a lot of work into this boat over the past decade including full exterior repaint (Imron), re-power in 2006 (Iveco Cursor 770's), and the addition of a flybridge in 2008.

The boat was formerly the "Carol Anne" of Ft. Loudon Lake Tennessee, where prior to 2000 I believe it had been docked since it was new.

She was kept in a boat house on Watts Bar Lake, part of the Tenn River Chain The owner was a very wealthy business man who had two daughters. The boat was named after the youngest and I dated the oldest. Both were very, very pretty. I always wondered what happened to the Carol Ann. The old owner passed away a few months ago. He was a first class guy and he loved that boat. Your post made my day. If you want names just PM me. WOW

Precious Metal - 58 Aluminum Roamer

We are new to the forum having just purchased a 1970 58 Roamer. Now she is a 63 with the addition of a full cockpit, in aluminum. Powered by 5 year old Detroit 6V92s at 550 hp each. I just returned from the maiden voyage to take her from Seattle down to San Francisco where she will now live. She now holds 2,250 gallons of diesel and 1,000 water. Even running through a few days of some pretty rough 12-18 foot seas, along with lots of wind, she always performed like a champion. What a boat she is. We will be completing some restoration work on her in the upcoming months (years) and will post our progress.
