Hi all. First post.(I’ve been lurking) . I have Chuck Neville working on a new deign for me. I sent the bid plans out and several Turkey builders came in very reasonable. RedTek Marine Caught me eye and I’m going over to visit this oct to get a feel of the place. The boat is a 90 foot yacht/ fisher made from steel and aluminium. Just wondering if anyone has used redtek marine before? Can anyone recommend other boat yard in Turkey who do great work. Any other boat yard I should send a set of bid plans to in Malaysia ect.
Any USA or Canadian builders that might want to try? Thanks for your help and opinions

    Canadian options

Since you asked.... A couple weeks ago my desalinator blew a line, a simple SS part but the location of my second house in Nova Scotia is remote and I was hard pressed to find something short of having it shipped from the US. Called around and was referred to Boatyard | Nova Scotia Canada. I drove over (4 hour round trip) and was very impressed from a quick look. These guys are on the Bay of Fundy, not near much in the yachting world, not near much except people making an honest living off the sea. Indeed they said "you could get these parts in Halifax but you'd need to visit several spots... here we need to have everything available all the time". Charged me $7.68 CA for 2 SS tubes cut to length and bent to spec.

I'm around yards enough to recognize a place that's humming well, and this clearly had it. The web site shows them doing mostly work and utility craft, but also some pleasure stuff. They work in your size range and materials. The Canadian dollar is doing well right now, and I expect it to go up significantly against the US dollar in the next few years. So the exchange rates may make Canada a non option. But I figured it was worth a post and a look;).

Covey Island Boatworks (a closer yard) is great, but not for metal. Anyone else have input on Canadian yards?
