Whoops!! Years of Boating Blunders!

Are you absolutely sure it's a boat? It is definitely ghastly.

I see this design as a life boat complementing some of those ugly cruise ships!

Nope, photo taken by the harbourmaster just outside Hamble in the Solent, UK last week. The boat floated off with very little damage to the keel but a lot damage to the skipper's ego.

OOPS!!!! Wrong photo was uploaded. The one I wanted to show has been deleted from the net and the above one has replaced it. Bugger.

Definitely might want to pull and resize them. Even makes replying interesting.
I remember when that happened. I believe there was even a bit of moaning here on YF about the way a certain tow company behaved.
For those who cruise in the area of Sag Harbor, NY the channel is well marked, but everybody short cuts on the north side of the entrance and gets away with it. (It saves about 90 seconds.) You do NOT get away with short cutting on the south side. Yes there is an unmarked channel between the submerged rocks, but only a fool takes it as evidenced by these pics.

NYCAP, that just happened last week, over by Sands Point.

Azimut owner was running the boat, at 25 knots WELL inside the channel, c'est la vie, non?

Azimut, right. Missed that. The bottom looked just like the East Bay out in Sag. Well, another summer begins. 'I don't need no captain'.
