Well I said before for me it is going to be between the first logo and the last logo ( 1 and 5) It would have been cool if you could have merged what I see in logo 5 with the turbofan and the merged JF of logo two.

That's an interesting idea. And a very good one! Give me a few minutes in P-Shop and I'll swoosh the turbine.

I think it's too busy Ron. But it was worth trying...

I was thinking the same thing but it may only look busy because of the colours involved! Is there any way that the colours can be altered as in make either the JF and the plane swoosh a lighter or darker colour OR the turbo fan lighter or darker. Settling that I think would make it better and appear less busy but is that something you can tinker with?

Keep in mind, these renders are blown-up in size for P-Shop purposes. I'm working at 360 pixels. The final renders, depending on application, will be down 150 pixels for wallpapers, 100 pixels for an avatar and as low as 16 pixels for a favicon. The details will be lost at these sizes. Thanks for the feedback Ron!

I trust the guidance of YF's members. As for pilots...

Well i'd be going with the Swoosh! Option 1 is also strong contention.

I like the 3rd option as well but how about setting the "JF" only a bit down so that the inner circle of the turbine is no more hidden ( similar to the spell out version) I think the turbine will look better then and the logo is still clear even in small resolutions...only an idea of mine.

I like the "too busy" combo logo the best!

I don't mean to interfere with your plans, why not consider something like this so other planes without jet engines won't feel left out!

Sorry for the kiddish finish but am not used to Illustrator and don't have Freehand on this system.

    Cheers,

I like it Alfred! No worries on the prop driven counterparts... I've got that covered in a completely separate site. It will come on line following JF. :)

Glad you liked it! It is all your, I will mail you the AI file so you take it from there.

Good like for both sites, hope they both catch up with YF.

Personally I like #4 because it it clear what it is. However when I first heard about what you were up I was thinking the O in forums would be the turbine.

My vote is for #3 as it most closely matches the YF logo... kinda' keeps the sites branding along the same line.

That was the original plan, but as I developed the actual JF logo (not the images seen in this thread), the turbine didn't quite spool-up, so it's been relegated to watermark duty. BTW, thank you supplying the render on that turbine Garry. It was perfect!

#3 was my favorite too, for the same reasons. Thanks for chiming in K!

I like 3 and 5 from the first post. I also like the too busy one, What about replacing the black trail with blue? That could break it up

Not sure if the website is a good idea in the first place. One or two of my Dad's mates have Jets and fly themselves but its a very small market.

Most people use a small Jet as a tool for business not as a pleasure like a yacht.

With one owner we had a Boeing 737 which was handy for popping back to the UK for new ones when I dropped my eye-glasses in Tahiti harbour. It also handled a bunch of daffadils that were in season in the garden and thought to look nice on the boat in the south of France, right next to miles and miles of fresh flowers and herbs!!!

Jet owners are a bit of an oddbox. Yes, jets, they are nice to have but under the CAA/FAA rules you can't have much fun with them.

One of my Dad's mates had to set up his own airline, rule-wise, just to re-fuel on his around-the-world trip with his Falcons(I worked for him too).

The subject bores me a bit.

Thanks for the feedback Fish. Trust me when I tell you... I thought long and hard about expanding the brand. It's an enormous amount of work, but I have reason to believe it will be worthwhile. :)
