I see this design as a life boat complementing some of those ugly cruise ships!

    Cheers,

Well since it's been posted, does anyone have the story? I'm curious... in that "car wreck" kinda' way.

    Brian,

Unless we had a thread for the world's ugliest Dutch shoe, you need to post that picture in the Ugliest Boat thread.

I know I'm going to catch a lot of heat. But as Carl observed in the beginning of the thread a lot of these photos are not "oops" but nature's ravage. Maybe the thread should be split

Not so sure about that, he is high and dry and his keel is about to break off, not my kind of luck

Nope, photo taken by the harbourmaster just outside Hamble in the Solent, UK last week. The boat floated off with very little damage to the keel but a lot damage to the skipper's ego. :D

When Carl sees the size of those pics, you might be looking like the bottom of that hull :D.

Definitely might want to pull and resize them. Even makes replying interesting.
I remember when that happened. I believe there was even a bit of moaning here on YF about the way a certain tow company behaved.
For those who cruise in the area of Sag Harbor, NY the channel is well marked, but everybody short cuts on the north side of the entrance and gets away with it. (It saves about 90 seconds.) You do NOT get away with short cutting on the south side. Yes there is an unmarked channel between the submerged rocks, but only a fool takes it as evidenced by these pics.

Sorry guys, I will try to resize.

NYCAP, that just happened last week, over by Sands Point.

Azimut owner was running the boat, at 25 knots WELL inside the channel, c'est la vie, non?

Azimut, right. Missed that. The bottom looked just like the East Bay out in Sag. Well, another summer begins. 'I don't need no captain'.:)
