Here are two modern Pilot Cutter concepts, 90 ft. and 130 ft Fly. This stern might not be the best choice for pure performance but from a design perspective it’s a look I really enjoy playing around with, especially in combination with a modern superstructure and a high performance hull and rig.

  3. Glad to see you back since long time. In case you are doing sailing yachts now, How would you imagine from your point of view in a drawing the WHITE PEARL Project from ADM Kiel recent announced could be ? because none design is launched officially until now, we are free to suppose many things. Suggestions !

    MKM,
Is it the ADM Kiel hull no. 422 75m project you’re referring to?

I like the first of the two! It is a little more classic.

    150m. Putting things into perspective…
The dinghy in the middle is my old 50ft concept :)

  7. ^ Impressive comparision diagrams. I have to mention that the planned ADB HDW Kiel of average 130m is really huge, according you see in the empty design already, compared to your ultimate 130 ft included. What's a difference m/ft this big makes. I am waiting for a wonderful 150m of yours. The sails come technology already from one of yours and seems Maltese Falcon similarities. ;) Because of tide & draft reasons i think they will use stabilizators in the steel hull like cruiseships instead of normal small Sailing yachts concept. The one you drew is too high together with the superstructure, I suppose. See how TallShips are for example.

    I don't think so.

It reminds me of a cross between the new "Hampshire II" and "Talisman-C"

While in the Semi-Retro mood, 105ft Pilot Cutter with a slightly larger single deckhouse compared to two smaller ones that are rather usual on this size.

It looks a bit like an Azimut magellano 50( a design I like)

I prefer the first design, but I like them both.

Keep the designs coming ............In about 10 years I am planning to buy a nice yacht.......So every design is welcome to have my mind crunching about my future yacht.:D

What about an updated version of the classic moonen 85?
One of my favourite little yachts.
