Excellent photos Ron, as always. The first night shot of "Katara" in post 309 with the total black background was very dramatic and beautiful. Thanks!
Because it so tricky to take photos I say thanks a lot for these nice photos!! Is Serene really so good looking as she seems to be on pictures? I found another photo of her with green lights.. http://www.newsgaggle.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Super-Yacht-Serene.jpg
Great photos guys. I agree, Serene is the better looking boat but hey, lets not argue too much, they are both great looking boats.
Yes "Serene" is quite a looker, she is better looking than "Katara" overall. Design wise, Katara is more bulky and top heavy and those HUGE domes don't help her either. Serene's decks are better proportioned and she is alot sleeker than Katara. Espen did a god job.
A few from last night. She was lit in light green. Interesting how they can not only just change the colour but also how deep or light the colour is. When she first came, in the night they started off with a darker green then changed to blue. Last night was a lighter green. "Serene" has now moved to the Cross Berth so I wouldn't be able to get any photos tonight or well until she moves from there.
Some photos I took from tonight of "Katara"... * Aft Port side shot of "Katara", a view I haven't seen of her for this year's visit. * Close up of the external area around the two-level atrium. * Soilid midhship-aft detail. * "Katara One" (A7-HMD). * A little colour in the night.
The 85-meter OceAnco "Vibrant Curiosity" sailed in about 50 minutes ago. I was there to see her and photograph her. * VC about 8 miles out... * VC entering the Port channel. * VC... * The bow of VC...gives an idea how large some of these fenders are. * Midships shot as she sailed in...
Superyacht Nero will probably arrive in Barbados the next couple of days. I saw a video of her today at Sugar Beach St lucia.
Yeah, those doors are really HUGE. On a side note, "Katara" left the port and is out at anchor in Carlisle Bay. Perfect time to get photos but I have already taken so many photos of her both night and day, in Carlisle Bay that I do not want to upload too many similar pics of her. It is "Vibrant Curiosity" that I would LOVE to leave the harbour and anchor somewhere. She lights up really nice.
As I said so, so said so done. "Vibrant Curiosity" left the harbour and joined "Katara" out at anchor in the Bay. However, Katara just this minute returned to the harbour after recieving her helicopter that went out while she was out. VC is still out there so if she stays out there long enough, i'll go and photograph her when it gets dark.
Hey have things changed regarding VC's lights? If that is the case I would like to ask you if you can take photos ? Distance shots are enough!
