She was docked over at National Liquidators for a while rusting away, and I did a web search on her:

Something about a past glory as a VIP yacht, movie stars and presidents, etc.

Key Largo is 90' built by Lawley in 1922. She is/was owned by a resort in - you guessed it - Key Largo. She was listed for sale by Nat Liq as a repo a short time back. Sign emblazoned on her port side says "sold". She does need a little love. Injection of a few $ mil. would likely help her find that love.

Could she be this listing on Boatinfoworld: Registered to KEY LARGO RESORTS OF KEY LARGO INC, Ship Builder GEO LAWLEY & SON CORP, Year built 1922, Vessel Type Recreational, 175.0 tons, 90.0 feet? Her original name was Elegante, later Rosamond, Lynie-Jane, and now Key Largo. George S. Lawley Sr., a boatbuilder from the Limehouse section of London, opened his first yachtbuilding yard in Scituate, in 1866. In 1874, he moved to City Point, in South Boston, to a site next door to the Boston Yacht Club, but by 1910 he needed more space, so he moved again, to the former Putnam Nail Works, at Point Norfolk, in Neponset. The yard also built flying boats and the Navy's first airship, DN 1, but closed in 1945. Looks to be the same as pictured here
http://www.maritimetv.com/distinctive_vessels.cfm when she was known as the Rosemond.

Relentless and Caprice On The New River

This morning Relentless and Caprice were docked on the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale along the Riverwalk. What a wonderful place for a stroll! :D

Via Kassablanca and Relentless On New River

I caught the 112" Westport Via Kassablanca making her way up the New River through downtown Fort Lauderdale this morning, no tugs necessary! And here is the other side of Relentless. I chatted with one of the crew who is very happy to be moored in this picturesque spot with easy access to all that Fort Lauderdale has to offer. Later they will be going up river to one of the yards for some maintenance.

Ford's Unity On the New River

This morning as I was getting out of the car to walk the dog I saw Unity, who reportedly belongs to Elena Ford http://www.luxist.com/2005/08/19/a-look-at-the-ford-unity-yacht/ as she was going under the Andrews Avenue bridge. The "Ford Blue" hull was strickingly beautiful even in the muted sunlight of an overcast Sunday morning sky.

Voice of the Wild In Fort Lauderdale

Caught Voice of the Wild, a Bertram 67, coming up the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale this morning. Even with the bridge up her Cap was worried about the height of the antenna and outrigger! She could definately use some more tackle at the fighting chair!:D

That said she is still a winner! http://www.lstournaments.com/signaturefiles/press_folder/2011_Signature_LegII.pdf

    Golden Touch

This morning I snapped Golden Touch, a Broward 98, moored on the New River across from the Opera House. She is apparently having some work done to her overhead.

There is or was a Bertram 670 with this name, but the pictured yacht is more like this one; http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/a...view-affinity-yachts-90-luxury-sportfish.html

New Winter on the New River

Took these shots on my first Winter walk along the New River this week. Steadfast turns out to be quite the yacht as she is built completely of wood, wooden/GRP composite (cold-molded) / composite that is. At 122 feet long this Barattucci build weighs in at just over 160 tons. And check out all the rocket launchers on the back of this baby!

She has one heavy duty bowsprit and an awesome fighting chair that looks like it really means business for fishing and lobotomies.

And talk about a tuna tower! Yikes!!!

Hey Disco, our rules permit photos to be up to 640 pixels wide by 480 high...You posted several photos next to each other across the beam of the page which results in alot of side scrolling. Hence why we only have them (pics) at 640 (to eliminate side scrolling). It is best if you posted them five at a time under each other as you normally had been doing.

    Camelot and Sea Six

Camelot stayed in town after the Boat Show. She is a 123' classic example of Dutch builder Royal Huisman's exquisite craftsmanship.

Sea Six is a shining illustration of a Riva 92 Duchessa.

Will do. I was experimenting with putting text between the pics and did not realize that was happening. Thanks for mentioning it!
