Wow the first picture is astonishing!! thanks. Are these blue lights new, I never have seen them before on pictures?
Thanks Milow No they are not new. Those lights actually can turn a few colours but they are usually fixed on either the blue or white. However, during the many times "Katara" has been here since her delivery, I have seen them yellow and green. Also something you should note is that her name plate can change colours as well. I was shocked to see it last year when they had the green on the name plate was green as well. As you can see in the pics, the lights under the canopies are blue while the nameplate is backlit white.
Here are some of my pics of "Hampshire" and the surroundings at Trevor's Way when she left the harbour this -yesterday- afternoon. * No zoom looking towards Barbados Hilton * Near full zoom * Random shot * Trevor's Way * Esso Pier where the tankers berth at the harbour
"Katara" just returned to the harbour after being out for the day playing with her toys. A7-HMD (her helicopter) sounds sooo good! Really quiet and nice to listen to. * A7-HMD heading towards the airport from "Katara" * "Katara" off Batts Rock Beach waiting for the bird * waiting for the bird to return * HDR of part of the Batts Rock beach area * "Katara" inbound after recieving the heli
* General Port view; "Ventura", "Caribbean Princess", RFA "Fort Rosalie", "Kristina Katarina" and "AIDAluna" are there but being hidden. * "Katara" and RFA "Fort Rosalie" (Prince Edward and his wife Sophie came aboard this yesterday) * "Katara" backing up past the RFA "Fort Rosalie" towards her berth at Breakwater South
Some pics from last night... * "Katara" at breakwater south so couldn't get a full view of her * while there, "AIDAluna" departed * "AIDAluna" * Barbados Coast Guard Damen Stan 42M Patrol boats, P02 "Leonard C. Banfield" and P03 "Rudyard Lewis"
MondoMarine 51-meter 2007-built expedition "TRIBU'" coming in an hour ago... * "TRIBU'" from a distance as she arrived from Curacao I think * "TRIBU'" waiting for Pilot * some of the Barbados Coast Guard's ocean-going equipment. Damen Stan 12.04M Patrol "Excellence", Damen 42M Barbados Coast Guard flagship P01 "Trident" alongside P02 "Leonard C. Banfield" and that on P03 "Rudyard Lewis" * "TRUBU'" approaching * "TRIBU'" sailing in
It does not matter if night or early morning, Ron is there and takes pics! Wow a rarely seen yacht, I knew that she is an explorer but I had not expected that her hull looks so much explorer like.. more explorer than yacht..
Well...i'm doing it for you guys, same way that Daniel provides us shots from Gibraltar, Josaver and GrahamF from Barcelona, OutMyWindow from Coal Harbour, Capt Tom from the Pan handle, Other members from the Netherlands who I will not name to keep their identity shielded, and so on, I believe I could provide from Barbados so I try my best.
You can sort-of see "Katara" and "TRIBu'" on "Costa Mediterranea's" forward webcam at the moment. http://www.costacruise.com/usa/webcam_costa_cruise_ships.html
Ron, Good for you to recognize the other regular photo contributors to YF. I must say I agree with Milow that you are always there with camera, and it's appreciated. One correction: I'm on the east coast of FL, not in the Panhandle area, which is western FL next to Alabama. If I was there, I would say things like "Ya'all, jeet (translated means "did you eat?") and "Are you fixin to (add anything here)". Don't want to get into any redneck jokes here, but I do have a hunkering for noodling. That's fishing for catfish bare handed, and they have it as a TV show. Then again, some of our finest yacht builders reside in the Gulf Coast area including Lazzara in Tampa, FL, and Trinity in Gulfport, MS, not to mention all the commercial builders. So a tip of my hat to our Gulf Coast friends and YF members.
Thanks Tom "Hampshire" left Trevor's Way where she was anchored just south of the port and she is this minute pulling up to Sandy Lane Bay. The sailship/yacht "Alexander V. Humboldt is now sailing into the harbour.
