    Fairline Targa 58

The new Targa 58 is a great looking boat with some great features. Here are pictures of a Targa 58 a friend of mine just bought and now it's in Egypt in the Red Sea.

It honestly doesn't look like anything Fairline builds.

    Tarek,

The new boat looks great! Congrats!!

Need to ask a favor. I just spent my morning cup of coffee downloading, resizing and re-uploading all the pictures you posted in two threads yesterday. Some of these images were over 900 pixels in width. I have reduced all of them to 640 pixels, which is YF's protocol. As a senior member, you've been around long enough to know our image requirements. ;)

    Thanks!

That is an interesting tender handling system for a boat for that size. I like it. Thanks for the pics Tarek.

    Hi Tarek
    Hope all well there

What have you done to the transom on the 58? Removed the windows, or is that just a cover? I'm curious!

The normal big window makes it hard to mount the name but Essex just did one with s/s letters right across the glass and it looked good. I have a few pics somewhere

Fairline are doing a med tour with a silver s58, see here http://www.************/#/news/come-onboard-for-the-fairline-targa-58-gran-turismo-med-tour-2011/. They claim this is the first silver boat, but that isn't right (as you of all people) well know. They must mean the first factory silver boat, I guess?

Will you be at the Cannes show? The plan is to use my 78 as the Cannes exhibit, though I have to work around some logistical issues first

    Best wishes

Hi, all is well, thanks.......nice to hear from you.

This Targa 58 has a custom built transom door which opens to the crew cabin. I ordered the boat from Fairline without the factory fitted transom window and cut the opening and fitted the door. I am attaching pictures of the custom built transom door.

Yes, I saw pictures of Fairline's silver Targa 58 which is now touring the Med. My Targa 58 had a custom paint job which was not done at the factory. The Targa 58 Fairline is referring to was painted by the factory and is not a full silver hull.

I won't be going to Cannes boat show but I will be at Southampton boat show. I will definitely see you in Southampton if you'll be there.

    Best regards, Tarek

Well, remember the yards need to reach out to the people of the world especially those with the capability to possibly buy one of their boats. To do this you need an appealing website, the website will be the first thing to the potential client to give an idea as to the sophistication or lack there of, about the particular manufacturer. While it also maybe a trend, you have to remain viable by being current and that starts with your website!
