Some neat images, not of yachting per say, but of retirement 'life' in the 70's in and around Florida. I'm kind of a photographic 'geek' in some regards, and I found some of the images really neat. Capt. Top and a few other "Digital Darkroom" folks, I'm sure can appreciate.

Very nice shots. That was a time when it wasn't bad to be retired and older. Although I could have done fine without the shot of the old guy in the white speedo (or was that a diaper?).:D

    Very cool!!
Love the old marina pictures. Especially that one you referenced with the Chris Craft sign / dealer in the background.

What I like about it though is the 53 Hatt in picture... Mine was delivered and kept in FTL in the early 70s and being early in the production there weren't too many on the water yet... Could very well be it...

Some interesting shots of coconut grove too, in the early days of the USCG base, rhe the pan Am base and original Diner Key marina. Easy to search database, I like that site

As long as it's not the guy in the Speedo you're OK.

Interesting to see how active the retired "eldery" kept themselves.
    No motorised scooters.
    water polo, swimming.
    Bikes, trikes
    = no obesity.

Look at the same age group now and much younger and there are so many obese, unhealthy etc...

No McDonalds and 3 stations on the (free) TV. That's all it takes.
