heating and cooling steel to strengthen has been around a while. the only thing i can see which makes this different is that he says the whole process takes 7 seconds. He doesn't have to give details but he makes no mention on how he can heat steel to 1000 C and cool it within 7 seconds. What is the name of this steel? Are there any actual credible lab tests on this steel? Strength is one thing but titanium is not only strong and light but its ductile which is very important.

Recent price increase may play well for steel.

Resin's for FRP are up 14% YTD. Thats a fact. Were up in 2010 as well. If new steel process produces better durability with less weight. That will catch alot of people's attention!!!

If there's a steel that's 7% stronger, we may have to reclassify this guy...

Just wondering how it might hold up to corrosion and electrolysis......I would think that making it that much stronger might bake it brittle to impact?

In a labratory and when it is virgin steel......not 10 or 20 years down the road and a little electrolysis later.......
